Axial bearing washers form the running surfaces of axial needle roller bearings and axial cylindrical roller bearings. They can also be ordered separately and combined with axial needle roller and cage assemblies or axial cylindrical roller and cage assemblies. Axial bearing washers are used if the adjacent machine parts cannot be used as a raceway for the rolling elements but are sufficiently rigid and geometrically precise to allow the application of axial bearing washers. Axial bearing washers are made from through-hardened rolling bearing steel, the running surfaces are designed as rolling element raceways. Axial bearing washer designs:

• axial bearing washers  AS for axial needle roller and cage assemblies and axial cylindrical roller bearings
• bearing washers (prefix LS) for axial needle roller and cage assemblies and axial cylindrical roller and cage assemblies
• housing locating washers (prefix GS) for axial cylindrical roller and cage assemblies
• shaft locating washers (prefix WS) for axial cylindrical roller and cage assemblies
• axial bearing washers  TWA , TWB , TWC and TWD , suitable for axial needle roller bearings TC to ABMA 21.2 – 1988, inch sizes.
