Adapter sleeves are suitable for locating bearings with a tapered bore on cylindrical shafts. The adapter sleeves require no additional means of retention on the shaft. Adapter sleeves are supplied complete with locknuts and tab washers. For larger sizes, retaining brackets are used instead of tab washers. With a sleeve bore diameter greater than or equal to 140 mm, designs with oil slots permit the use of the hydraulic method.
